Splash Wine Lounge is hosting a virtual wine and paint party with a radical twist! Join Itzel Islas, of Yayitzel, and Splash in a fun evening of creativity with custom color-it-yourself wine bottles. Pop open your bottle before, during, or after your art session and learn all about the creative process behind making labels and making wine. All party labels are available on any of our Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc house wines made by Rutherford Ranch. Each purchase includes a small pack of colored pencils. In 2020, we opened up our spaces to a broad slate of resident artists as a home away from home and a place to expand their artistic practices. We had no idea that a pandemic would make having a safe refuge out of the house more necessary than ever. 10 artists have and will inhabit the Art Produce Gallery, Cooler Room, Community Room, and Garden this year (3 of the 10 residencies are still upcoming). Their work is diverse and responsive to the time we are living in.
In celebration of these artists as well as Art Produce’s 20th Anniversary, we are exhibiting the works of our resident artists from September 20th to November 1st in the Art Produce Gallery. Each resident artist has also been invited to nominate an additional artist (+) to be included in the exhibit.
Along with works presented in the physical space (viewable from the sidewalk, by appointment, or during open, socially-distanced Gallery hours), works will be presented in the virtual space in an online Gallery. Much of the work, in either space, will be available for sale.
This is planned as a rotating installation to include multiple works by each artist, including dance and performance video, audio pieces, and writing. An art book publication, AiR+ 2020 Journal, will accompany the exhibit. Coming Soon!
